Des Plaines nonprofit launches Healthy Babies Drive to keep young kids safe and healthy

Kids Above All collecting much-needed items for the infants and toddlers in their care

Keeping kids safe as they grow is a parent’s most important and daunting responsibility, especially for first-time caregivers. The list of items that a young child needs — diapers, wipes, bottles, diaper bags and baby gates — is long and expensive, and for families living in poverty, purchasing those necessities comes at the expense of food or other bills.

Kids Above All is launching its Healthy Babies Drive to collect healthy and safety items for the young children and new families in their programs, so they have everything they need to build a strong foundation for their lives together.

“At Kids Above All, we place the safety and well-being of children and families above everything else. Our Healthy Babies Drive ensures the parents and caregivers of the children we impact will have the essential items they need to protect their kids as they grow, so they can build better lives and realize their full potential,” said the President and CEO of Kids Above All Dan Kotowski.

Kids Above All’s Happy Babies Drive runs through May 15. Donations may be dropped off at the Better Life Distribution Center, 1801 E. Oakton, in Des Plaines or online via the nonprofit’s Amazon Wishlist at amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/3G29NAWMQGVUL.
