Flooding closes Wilson Road in Round Lake area
Wilson Road from Route 120 to Route 60 in the Round Lake area is closed to through traffic due to flooding.
The Lake County Division of Transportation late Wednesday morning said rainfall over the past several weeks has led to rising water in the surrounding area.
The water overtopped the pavement, which could create unsafe driving conditions. As a precaution, the road will remain closed until the water levels have receded.
A camera has been set up that is accessible to the public at lakecountypassage.com to monitor the conditions on Wilson Road in the coming days.
The detour is Route 60, Fairfield Road and Route 120.
