MPD gearing up for A-May-Zing Mundelein’s Annual Day of Caring

A-May-Zing Mundelein, coordinated and hosted by the Mundelein Police Department, is a day set aside to help neighbors who need assistance with light outdoor yard maintenance and clean-up projects. For almost three decades, on this annual day of community good will, A-May-Zing Mundelein volunteers have given back to the community. The event’s continual success is due to residents and businesses that volunteer their time to complete spring cleanup projects at the homes of residents in need of a helping hand.

The event kicks off on May 4 at the Mundelein Police Department with registration and continental breakfast from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Volunteers should plan to work through late morning or early afternoon. Refreshments provided. Any residents, organizations or businesses that wish to volunteer or donate supplies are asked to please call Jenni House at the Mundelein Police Department, at (847) 968-3770. House can also schedule projects.

Volunteers often comment that the event is a great experience that leaves them with a sense of pride and goodwill.
