Is there no decency?
In the past two weeks, there were three events that highlight the loss of basic decency.
- The USMNT soccer game against Mexico was suspended two times due to racist chants from the crowd.
- The Utah women’s basketball team was subjected to racist taunts requiring them to change their hotel in fear for their safety.
- A presidential candidate began selling Bibles for his political campaign to cover legal expenses during the holiest week in the Christian year.
It is not woke to callout the lack of basic decency within our society. Respect should be expected and extended to all.
