Bill addresses climate responsibility

The world faces an existential threat in the form of climate change. The bottom line is we need to reduce carbon emissions. The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2023 (H.R. 5744) would do just that. It is estimated that if passed, this bill would decrease emissions in the U.S. by at least 40% in the first 12 years through technology innovation and ingenuity, and in addition put money back into people's pockets each month in the form of a carbon dividend. We must reduce carbon pollution or face the prospect of an earth that will someday become uninhabitable. It is our moral responsibility to do so.
