New Pvolve fitness studio to open in Algonquin Commons

Pvolve, a fitness method that pairs functional movement with proprietary resistance equipment, is opening its first location in Algonquin Saturday, April 6.

The new studio, in the Algonquin Commons at 1732 S. Randall Road, offers Pvolve’s signature, low-impact fitness training method. It is owned and operated by Tracy Izquierdo, a local resident and single mother with a passion for health and wellness.

After graduating from Ohio State University with a nursing degree, Izquierdo made a sharp pivot and attended law school. She practiced law for 14 years, but as her children entered high school, she decided to spend more time with family.

During this time, Izquierdo fell in love with Pilates and became a certified Pilates instructor. Having undergone three ACL surgeries on her right knee, Izquierdo understands the value of low-impact workouts and appreciates Pvolve’s focus on enhancing mobility while delivering a highly effective yet sustainable workout.

“I was drawn to Pvolve because it made me feel empowered,” said Izquierdo. “What separated Pvolve from other fitness concepts for me was the emphasis on functional movement and the science behind the method. I knew immediately the Algonquin community could benefit from it and that it is unlike any other fitness concept around.”

Pvolve Algonquin offers membership options that fit a variety of fitness needs, schedules, and spending levels. The three tiers of memberships include Unlimited, Starter, and Flex. Those who sign up for a founding membership before the grand opening event on May 3 will lock in a lifetime discounted rate.

Founding members receive additional benefits such as access to on-demand and live virtual classes at Pvolve.com and on the Pvolve app, an advanced booking period, member exclusive events, 10% off equipment purchases and more.

“The opening of our Algonquin studio is a tremendous moment for our brand, as it marks our second location in the state of Illinois,” said Pvolve President Julie Cartwright. “And we couldn’t ask for a better partner than Tracy, whose remarkable journey through career and single-parenthood serves as an inspiration for women in business.”
