Honor veterans with a paver in South Elgin’s Veterans Plaza

Recognize a veteran who is a current or former resident of South Elgin or a veteran with family residing in the village with an engraved paver in the Veterans Plaza.

Pavers will measure 4 inches by 8 inches and include the following information: name, rank and branch of service, and years served.

Engraved pavers cost $75. Or you can donate $75 to help a veteran who cannot afford a paver. Order forms must be turned in and payment processed at the village hall, 10 N. Water St.

Note: Proof of enlistment, DD214, or current/active honorable discharge papers must be copied and turned in with the order form. If assistance is needed in getting this information, contact Jacob Zimmerman at Kane County Veterans Assistance Commission at zimmermanjacob@kanecountyil.gov.

The Veterans Plaza Paver order form is now available at the village hall and at southelgin.com/paver.

Paver orders are accepted anytime. However, to ensure your paver is prepared and installed during the Veterans Plaza construction, place your order by April 11.

Orders received after the deadline will be installed as a group the following year.
