Bicycles and music have the power to bring communities together, and on April 6, Bikes & Music will be hosting a special event in collaboration with Fremd High School's Tri-M Music to harness that power for a good cause.

The Bicycle & Instrument Drive, set to take place from 9 a.m. to noon, at the William Fremd High School parking lot, promises to be a day filled with generosity, camaraderie and the spirit of giving back.

The event aims to encourage individuals in the community to donate their old bicycles and instruments, which will be refurbished and redistributed to those in need. By repurposing these items, the organizers hope to promote sustainability and provide opportunities for individuals to access modes of transportation and musical instruments that they may not otherwise have.

“We're thrilled to partner with Fremd High School students and the Tri-M Music Group for this event,” said Ryan Gable, co-founder of Bikes & Music. “Their commitment to music education and community service aligns perfectly with our mission to make a positive impact in our local area. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of others.”

Attendees can look forward to more than just the satisfaction of contributing to a worthy cause. The event will feature complimentary doughnuts from Spunky Dunkers, as well as coffee and pastries from Nelikona Cozy Cafe, providing attendees with the fuel they need to start their day off right. Additionally, a team of enthusiastic volunteers from Fremd High School will be on hand to assist with donation drop-offs and answer any questions attendees may have.

For those unable to attend the event in person, arrangements can be made for pickup of bicycle(s) and/or instrument(s) by emailing info@bikesandmusic.org.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for members of the community to contribute,” added Gable. “Whether you're able to join us on April 6 or need us to come to you, every donation makes a difference.”

Don't miss this opportunity to support a worthy cause and connect with your community. Together, we can pedal toward a brighter future, one bicycle and instrument at a time.
