Aurora food pantry distributing 600 Easter baskets

Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry began a three-day distribution of 600 Easter baskets to clients on Monday, March 25.

Becky Dunnigan, pantry community impact manager, said the Aurora-based pantry planned to continue distributing baskets filled with treats on Tuesday and Thursday, or until all baskets are distributed.

According to Dunnigan, local churches, businesses and service clubs filled and donated the baskets.

Aurora organizations donating baskets were Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, New England Congregational Church, Zonta Club of Aurora, Beta Alpha Delta Fraternity, Inc. and Quality Chiropractic.

Other donations came from Rotary Club of Montgomery and from an anonymous donation of 100 Cabbage Patch dolls and stuffed animals wrapped with candy.
