Several municipal facilities will offer collection bins for food and hygiene products.

Items needed most include boxes of rice, canned soups, meats and fruits, healthy cereals, powdered and evaporated milk, diapers sizes 3-5, laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, feminine products and toilet paper.

In addition to participating churches and businesses, people may donate these items at:

• Carol Stream Park District locations;

• Carol Stream Village Hall, 500 N. Gary Ave., Carol Stream;

• District 93 schools;

• Glenbard North High School, 990 Kuhn Road, Carol Stream;

• Carol Stream Public Library, 616 Hiawatha Drive, Carol Stream.

Donations will go to food pantries serving Carol Stream, Milton and Wayne townships, Bloomingdale/Roselle and the Humanitarian Service Project.
