Buffalo Grove rewards village manager with bonus

Buffalo Grove trustees have voted to reward Village Manager Dane Bragg with a $30,000 performance bonus for his work last year.

Village board members lauded Bragg for the village’s fiscal position, development of staff and customer service at village hall.

“This board stands on your shoulders,” Village President Eric Smith said. “You make us look good.”

The $30,000 “performance benefit” matches one the board awarded Bragg in 2023. He received a four-year contract extension in December 2022 that boosted his base salary of $292,097 at the time by 3% a year.

Bragg expressed gratitude for the board’s support and praised his staff.
