The Arlington Jazz Exchange may not be able to physically transport you to celebrate April in Paris, but they aim to get you there musically via a tribute concert honoring the legendary Count Basie. The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m. on April 14, at Forest View Education Center, 2121 S Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.

Prepare to be transported back to the golden era of Big Band as the Arlington Jazz Exchange showcases iconic tunes and timeless classics, paying homage to the incomparable Count Basie. From the infectious rhythms of “April in Paris” to the electrifying energy of “Hard Sock Dance” and “Shiny Stockings,” the set list promises to entertain audiences of all ages.
