Nonprofit’s distribution center thriving thanks to vital partnership

Ticket to Dream donates $9,000 worth of undergarments to foster kids in Kids Above All’s care

This month marks one year since Kids Above All opened the doors of its Better Life Distribution Center in Des Plaines, and what a year it has been.

The 8,000 sq. foot warehouse allows the nonprofit to store countless items for children and teens in their care. It has also allowed them to expand their partnership with organizations like Ticket to Dream.

Ticket to Dream partners with companies such as Famous Footwear, Mattress Firm, BEARPAW, Bombas, Title Nine and more to provide new items to children in foster care. Ticket to Dream’s goal is to let kids be kids. It’s organizations like Ticket to Dream that allow nonprofits in communities like Chicago to continue to thrive.

“Ticket to Dream has been an immeasurable partner for Kids Above All. The amount of donations we have received for our kids throughout the years has been astounding. Ticket to Dream and the organization’s partners are the unsung heroes of the foster care system who continually forge a path forward so these kids can focus on being kids,” says Dan Kotowski, president and CEO of Kids Above All.

Since their partnership, Kids Above All has received over $200,000 in donations including socks, baby clothes, Crocs, diapers, wipes, ChapStick, makeup wipes, and more. Their latest donation will provide $9,000 worth of undergarments courtesy of Victoria’s Secret.

“Ticket to Dream is proud to partner with Kids Above All, supporting their mission of building better lives for children and families impacted by foster care. Their creativity and innovation in serving their clients and commitment to excellence are why we’re so glad to have them as part of our charity family. We’re so thankful for the impact they are making and look forward to many more years of partnership and life-changing moments ahead,” says Kayla White, Program & Impact Manager of Ticket to Dream.
