St. Mark’s Lutheran in St. Charles sets Holy Week worship schedule

St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Charles welcomes the Tri-Cities community to worship with them during Holy Week beginning on Thursday, March 28.

Holy Week services begin with a Communion service on Maundy Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The service focuses on the Last Supper and the great sacrifice that Jesus is about to endure.

During the service, worshippers will experience the great proclamation of salvation as Jesus shared with his disciples that evening. This act of selfless love and sacrifice is a central tenet of the Christian faith and inspires Christians to follow Jesus’ example of serving others with humility and love.

During the Good Friday worship at 6:30 p.m., worshippers will recognize the great suffering and death that the Savior endured for their salvation, and experience the final moments of his great sacrifice and obedience.

And finally on March 31, join in celebrating the promised resurrection and the great gift of salvation of Easter Sunday with services at 7:30, 9 and 11 a.m. The 7:30 and 9 a.m. services will be traditional format with the 11 a.m. being a praise style worship.
