Lake Zurich District 95 has new board member

Mark Haave, a vice president at Huntington National Bank, has been selected to fill the remainder of an unexpired term on the Lake Zurich Community Unit District 95 board.

Haave, a Lake Zurich resident and trustee for the District 95 Educational Foundation, was selected from about 15 applicants. He takes the open seat of Scott McConnell, who stepped down in January after 12 years on the board.

All candidates were qualified and would have been good additions, said board President Doug Goldberg.

“Ultimately, Mark’s professional experience and his proven dedication to community service made him stand out,” he added.

The term ends May 1.
