IVF questions to ponder

The Supreme Court of Alabama believes it has found wee babes nestled in sub-freezing temperatures in IVF laboratories. It states, “We believe that each human being from the moment of conception is made in the image of God, created by Him to reflect His likeness. …Carving out an exception for the people in this case, small as they were, would be unacceptable to the People of the State who have required us to treat every human being in accordance with the fear of a holy God who made them in His image.”

Of course, people who have undergone IVF treatments hold the eggs and sperm they’ve donated as precious. However, followed to the ruling’s conclusion, did they ever think they might be allowed to receive a child tax exemption for them, or have to start college funds and search for a nanny, as now they have children “small as they were”?
