Elgin Academy exhibit opens Friday at Elgin History Museum

A new exhibit chronicling the evolution of Elgin Academy decade by decade will have its official opening at the Elgin History Museum on Friday, March 22.

“Elgin Academy 1839-2024: A Legacy of Excellence” showcases photographs, artifacts and information boards highlighting the school’s history and impact on the Elgin community over the last 185 years as it prepares to close at the end of the school year.

The free event is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the museum at 360 Park St. Linda Rock will present a short program on influential alumni of Elgin Academy at 7:15 p.m.
