Officials: Lake County sheriff’s special investigators arrest man accused of drug trafficking

A Waukegan man accused of selling meth, cocaine, and fentanyl now is facing charges in connection with an investigation by the Lake County sheriff’s office, officials said.

The Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Group arrested Terrance D. Hill, 35, on Tuesday, and he was charged with seven counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, according to a news release.

In late 2023, the Special Investigations Group received and were able to confirm information that Hill was selling the drugs out of his home on the 700 block of Hemholz Avenue, the release said.

During the entire operation, detectives recovered over 3,600 fentanyl pills, nearly 30 grams of meth, and nearly 40 grams of cocaine, according to the release.

At a detention hearing Thursday, Hill was remanded to custody. His next court date is scheduled for April 17.
