Elgin Vineyard to hear the story of Jesus through Mary’s eyes

Mary, the mother of Jesus, will take the stage at Vineyard Church of Elgin on Sunday, March 24, in the person of Naomi Rogers, a professional actress from Cary.

Rogers portrays Mary in a one-woman dramatic presentation, “Because of My Son,” which tells the story of Jesus. The 35-minute show will be part of Vineyard’s Palm Sunday service at 10 a.m.

Pastor Tom Severson invites the community to attend, saying “As we begin Holy Week, this dramatization gives us a wonderful chance to experience the life of Christ in a personal and intimate way through the eyes of Mary.”

People who arrive early to the service can grab a free coffee or tea, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Elgin Vineyard is located at 220 Division St.
