Lakes Community High School’s Evergreen Club aims to plant 150 trees at Tree-Plenish event

ommunity High School in Lake Villa are working to meet their goal of planting 150 trees to offset the school’s paper usage.

Community members can support the effort buy purchasing saplings for $5 each on the project website, tpevents.org/school/4148.

This year the group is offering a selection of downy serviceberry, eastern redbud and sugar maple saplings. Orders must be placed by March 27. Planting and pick up takes place on April 27.

If community members would like to support the event in another way, donations and volunteers are also greatly appreciated.

EverGreen Club’s mission is to raise awareness about environmental issues and to promote a sustainable lifestyle through a variety of member activities.
