Des Plaines to honor city manager before retirement
The Des Plaines City Council will honor outgoing City Manager Michael Bartholomew with a proclamation during its meeting Monday night.
Bartholomew has led the city staff since 2012, spearheading ongoing efforts to revitalize the downtown district, among other tasks.
He’ll be succeeded by current Assistant Manager Dorothy Wisniewski, the council decided last month.
Monday’s council meeting is set for 7 p.m. at city hall, 1420 Miner St. It can be viewed at desplaines.org.
Wisniewski assumes her new role April 1. Bartholomew will stay on until March 31.
