Long Grove Craft Beer Fest returns to new location April 27

One of the Chicago area’s biggest beer parties, the annual Long Grove Craft Beer Fest, will return Saturday, April 27, for another day dedicated to the area’s top brewers.

Tickets are on sale through longgrove.org/festivals/craftbeerfest.

From noon to 4 p.m., this one-day celebration of locally made, handcrafted beer features at least 25 top tier breweries in the heart of historic downtown Long Grove. The new location, Brothers’ Field at 340 Old McHenry Road, can accommodate more breweries and more people, as the event will not be limited to one tented area as in previous years when it was in the parking lot next door.

Brothers’ Field is set to become Lake County’s largest beer garden, with a curated list of beer makers pouring unlimited 3 oz. tastes inside commemorative, take-home glasses for one ticket price. Participating breweries include: 9th Hour Brewing Company, Lake Villa; Black Horizon Brewing Company, Willowbrook; Black Lung Brewing, Round Lake Beach and Fox Lake; Buffalo Creek Brewing, Long Grove; Casa Humilde Cerveceria, Chicago; Crystal Lake Brewing, Crystal Lake; Foreign Exchange Brewing; Half Day Brewing, Lincolnshire; Kishwaukee Brewing Co., Woodstock; Liquid Love Brewing, Buffalo Grove; The Lucky Monk, South Barrington; Maplewood Brewing, Chicago; MobCraft Beer, Milwaukee and Waterford, Wisconsin, and Woodstock; MoRE Brewing Company, Villa Park, Huntley and Bartlett; Nik & Ivy Brewing Company, Lockport; Obscurity Brewery, Elburn; On Tour Brewing Company, Chicago; Phase Three Brewing, Lake Zurich and Elmhurst; Pipeworks Brewing Company, Chicago; Prima Cider, Long Grove; Ravinia Brewing Company, Highland Park and Chicago; Sew Hop’d Brewery, Huntley; Scorched Earth Brewing, Algonquin; Tighthead Brewing Company, Mundelein; and Tonality Brewing Company, Mundelein.

The event will include live music outside of the tent on the hometown stage, allowing for even more use of Brothers’ Field for the tasting action. Fox Crossing Stringband will perform.

Guests can also expect to enjoy food vendors and Long Grove’s vintage village as the backdrop. Craft Beer Fest gives ticket holders 21 and older the opportunity to visit any brewer station as much as they’d like to sample freshly brewed suds and get tasting points from the pourers.

There will be merchandise and branded Craft Beer Fest apparel available for purchase.

Tickets are $60; nondrinker/designated driver tickets are $10 and include unlimited water.
