Windy City Bulls Drop Road Contest to Rio Grande Valley Vipers

The Windy City Bulls, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, lost to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 115-110 Friday night. Windy City was led by Chicago Bulls two-way forward Adama Sanogo with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Guard Jalen Harris finished with 22 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field. Guard Keifer Sykes chipped in 16 points off the bench.

Harris scored 11 points in the first quarter to help Windy City to a 36-31 lead. Sanogo scored 14 points in the first half, after shooting 5 for 5 from the field. The Bulls remained in control with a 9-point lead at halftime.

Rio Grande outscored Windy City 29-23 in the third quarter, but the Bulls hung on for a three-point lead heading into the final 12 minutes. Sanogo made a layup with 13.8 seconds left to bring the Bulls within one point, however, the Vipers responded by hitting four free throws to win the game.

Rio Grande was led by Houston Rockets two-way guard Nate Hinton with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Houston Rockets two-way forward Jermaine Samuels Jr. finished with 21 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field.

With the loss Windy City fell to 11-14 in the regular season, Rio Grande improved to 14-9.
