No one should have unlimited power as president
It was a very sad day when the Supreme Court agreed to hear Trump’s case on presidential immunity. First off, this means at least one judge believes he could be correct and what would that look like going forward? But equally as important is that it now looks like the cases will not be heard before the elections.
No matter what side you’re on or how far down the rabbit hole you have fallen in support of this accused criminal, don’t you feel he should have his days in court? If you were accused, wouldn’t you want your day in court? This decision isn’t about what is lawful or finding the truth. It’s about one thing only, delay. It’s about keeping the truth and choices from the American people before the election.
To those who believe that Trump has 100% immunity, please explain to me the difference between an American president and Putin. Putin has 100% immunity he can and does do anything he wants. The only thing he has to worry about is an assassination. Is that the real power you want to give any person?
If the president has 100% immunity, then why would he follow any law? What if Biden decided that for the good of the country, he would put Trump in jail or better yet just shoot him. Would you have wanted Nixon to have that type of power? Do you really believe that the president is above the law?
Now come on, I know many people have drunk this man’s Kool-Aid and believe everything they hear on Fox News, but would you really feel safe with one person with this type of power? When have you stopped being an American? Isn’t it time to wake up?
