High-end Indian jewelry brand finds home in Aurora
A high-end Indian jewelry brand, Tanishq, has opened its fourth and largest store in the U.S. on the far east side of Aurora.
Tanishq Chicago’s new Midwest flagship store in Aurora’s Pacifica Square Shopping Center debuted Thursday with a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration drawing attendees from across the region and as far as India.
Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin and the Consul General of India in Chicago Somnath Ghosh joined the owners of the local Tanishq store and leaders of the global brand who traveled from India for the occasion.
The Indian American community is Aurora’s fastest-growing population.
Tanishq has $3.5 billion in annual revenues and more than 400 retail stores across 240 Indian cities. Its parent company is Titan, part of the Tata Group, an Indian multinational conglomerate with operations in more than 100 countries.
