Sanogo leads Windy City Bulls to lopsided victory at home

The Windy City Bulls, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, beat the G League Ignite 117-87 Friday night in front of 4,180 fans at NOW Arena. Windy City was led by Chicago Bulls two-way forward Adama Sanogo with 22 points and 12 rebounds.‌

Guard Evan Gilyard chipped in 15 points off the bench for Windy City. Forward Ben Coupet Jr. shot 5-for-11 from the field, scoring 14 points for the Bulls.

The Bulls jumped out to a 26-22 lead at the end of the first quarter. Sanogo shot 5-for-5 from the field in the first half to help Windy City to a 52-47 lead at halftime.

The Bulls outscored the Ignite 33-24 in the third quarter to secure a 14-point lead heading into the final 12 minutes. Windy City led the whole game in the 30-point win over the Ignite.

The Bulls dominated under the basket with 72 points in the paint compared to Ignite’s 36 points.

The Ignite was led by forward Matas Buzelis with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Gabe York finished with 20 points, three rebounds and four assists.

With the win, Windy City improved to 10-12 in the regular season, Ignite fell to 2-24.
