Brush up your accent at GreenMan Theatre’s British Accent Class March 5

Whether it is for auditions for GreenMan Theatre’s upcoming show “Charley’s Aunt” or some other purpose, GreenMan is offering a two-hour class on how to speak with a British accent on Tuesday, March 5.

The GreenMan Theatre class will be taught by David Soria, GreenMan’s artistic director, and Carolyn Thomas-Davidoff, “Charley’s Aunt” director, at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Elmhurst, 232 S. York St.

Cost for the class is $20 for GreenMan Theatre members, $30 for nonmembers. All class materials will be provided. Advance registration is required. Payment can be made in advance or at the class. To register or ask a question, contact Thomas-Davidoff at thomdav@comcast.net.

In its 20th season, GreenMan Theatre Troupe is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to provide a source of cultural enrichment and pride for the community by presenting diverse, quality productions and providing opportunities for personal growth in the theatrical arts.

GreenMan has been presenting plays in Elmhurst since being founded in 2003. Past productions include “The Odd Couple,” “Dracula,” and “Pride and Prejudice.” GreenMan also offers classes and workshops for members and the community and welcomes new members and participants in all aspects of theater production. GreenMan programs are partially supported by Explore Elmhurst, as well as other individual and corporate donations.
