Bartlett Fire District to launch ‘Stop the Bleed’ training program April 13

To enhance community safety and empower individuals to act effectively in emergencies, the Bartlett Fire District is launching its new “Stop the Bleed” training program this spring.

Uncontrolled bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death from trauma. Whether it’s due to an accident, injury, or even a violent attack, being prepared to respond swiftly and effectively can make all the difference in saving lives.

Through hands-on training sessions led by experienced firefighter/paramedics, attendees will learn essential techniques such as applying pressure, packing wounds, and correctly using tourniquets to control bleeding until professional help arrives.

The inaugural “Stop the Bleed” training session will take place on April 13 at the Bartlett Fire District’s headquarters, 234 N. Oak Ave. in Bartlett.

Register early as space is limited. For more information about the program or to register for an upcoming training session, visit bartlettfire.com/stopthebleed.
