Why are you running for this office? Is there a particular issue that motivates you? If so, what?

Fighting for no increase in the property tax levy. Building a trained and equipped police department. Build and improve county transportation. Fighting to preserve the tranquil county lifestyle. Support a higher level of transparency with county affairs. Build forces against human trafficking. Supporter of new and innovative opportunities for businesses.

What experiences and background would you bring to the office and how do these affect the way you would serve on the county board?

Have a back ground in business, zoning, building code and municipal planning.

What do you consider the three most-serious issues facing the county and how would you address them?

High taxes, are the number one issue, that requires holding the line on the budget and spending. Second, increase cost for county services and purchases: sharing services and purchases with other governmental bodies. Fighting increases in cost at Valley Hi nursing and rehabilitation center, which might require an evaluation of services.

How do you rate the health of the county's financial system? Do you support any changes in the county's fiscal policies?

The health of the county is very good at this time, so changes in policies would have to be reviewed and suggested for good reason.

Why are you the best person to serve in this role?

With a careen serving 23 years in municipal government, back in business, zoning and planning I feel I'm a great candidate for the county board. Plus my 46 years of living and loving this county where I raised my family.
