The Northwest Suburban Office of Right At Home, hosts free community speaker session with Alzheimer’s Association

The Northwest Suburban Office of Right At Home is excited to announce a free Community Speaker Session, “Caregiver Tips and Strategies for Responding to Dementia Related Behavior,” with the Alzheimer’s Association to provide vital support and information to families and caregivers. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 5, at the Empty Corner, 214 E Grove St., in Arlington Heights.

As a leading home care agency dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities, Right At Home recognizes the importance of supporting families and caregivers, especially those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease. This free event aims to provide caregivers with valuable tips and strategies to navigate the challenges of caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s.

The Alzheimer’s Association plans to share expertise, resources and guidance.

Topics of discussion include:

• Understanding Alzheimer’s disease and its progression.

• Effective communication techniques for caregivers.

• Managing challenging behaviors with compassion and patience.

• Self-care strategies for caregivers to prevent burnout.

The speaker session will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at the Empty Corner, 214 E Grove St., Arlington Heights. Attendees are encouraged to come prepared to learn, ask questions and connect with others in the community.
