Frühlingsfest set for April 27 at Church Street Brewing Co.

Join the third annual Frühlingsfest on Saturday, April 27, at Church Street Brewing Company in Itasca.

A team of volunteers organizes this event to benefit youth scouting programs administered by the Three Fires Council.

All proceeds help support youth Scouting adventures in our communities. The Three Fires Council serves nearly 14,000 youth in Illinois across DeKalb, DuPage, Kane and Kendall counties plus portions of Cook and Will counties.

The annual event boasts grilled-to-order brats plus Church Street’s pretzels and cookies.

The Allstars will be playing their playlist that includes rock, dance and party favorites. For veterans of Scouting programs, they will have the Frühlingsfest sash to display brewer or beer stickers.

This year, they are adding a curated blind tasting event. They have two trained beer tasters on their team who will guide the VIPs and other guests through the very basics of beer description and tasting. The results will be tabulated and there will be awards for the best brews handed out so everyone can sample the winners.
