Democratic Party of Milton Township names Precinct Committee Person of the Year
The Democratic Party of Milton Township recently announced the recipient of this year’s Precinct Committee Person of the Year award.
This prestigious honor recognizes an individual who has displayed exceptional dedication, leadership, and service to both the party and the community.
After careful consideration, the Democratic Party of Milton Township is delighted to bestow the title of Precinct Committee Person of the Year upon Michael Nachman.
Nachman embodies the values and principles of the Democratic Party, demonstrating tireless effort and an unwavering commitment to advancing causes important to our community.
Throughout the past year, Nachman has played a pivotal role in mobilizing grass-roots efforts, engaging voters, and advocating for critical issues directly impacting the lives of Milton Township residents. His fervent dedication to social justice, equality, and inclusivity has ignited a passion in others to join the movement and effect positive change.
When faced with a multiweek delay in receiving new data for the redistricted precincts in Milton Township, Nachman devised a solution that allowed the Get Out to Vote effort to proceed on time.
“Mike Nachman stepped forward immediately,” remarked Dennis Terdy, chairman of the Democratic Party of Milton Township. “Mike’s steadfast support of our precinct committee members ensures they are able to continue to engage voters, keep them informed, and get them to vote. This was an easy, unanimous decision on the part of Milton Township Democrats.”
Illinois 3rd District Congresswoman Delia Ramirez presented the award at the monthly meeting of the Democratic Party of Milton Township. Congresswoman Ramirez commended Nachman for his outstanding leadership and service, highlighting the significance of grass-roots activism in driving positive change.
