Marina City’s Ryan Argast takes on ‘The Voice’

For more than a decade, Ryan Argast has put his soul into the vocals of Marina City’s electrifying rock and alt.pop songs on Chicago-area stages. This week, he steps up to a bigger venue when he takes on the challenge of NBC’s “The Voice.”

Tune in Monday as Argast and a new flock of contenders audition for the the main judges — Reba McEntire, John Legend, newcomers Dan + Shay and Chicago’s own Chance the Rapper — during the show’s season 25 premiere, airing at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, on NBC and NBC.com. The premiere will also stream on the Peacock app starting at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27.

The Plainfield musician is obviously excited about the prospects of bringing his electrifying soul-pop style to home screens across the nation. In a weekend post on Instagram, he said, “I’ve worked my entire life for these big moments and with your love and support it has lived up to the hype! Lets get those chairs turned!!”

Will we see a Chicago team-up with coach Chance? Keep watching to find out.
