Des Plaines assisted living and memory care facility achieves dificiency-free survey from Illinois Department of Health

Alden Courts & Gardens of Des Plaines’ executive director and team joined in celebrating a deficiency-free survey from the Illinois Department of Health (IDPH). IDPH is the state regulatory body that ensures the safety and quality of health services provided to residents at assisted living, memory care, and health care facilities.

A perfect survey from the state means Alden Courts & Gardens had zero deficiencies in care, environment, or services after a rigorous inspection process. A deficiency-free survey indicates it’s one of the best establishments seniors can select when choosing a provider to handle their assisted living and memory care needs.

“I often refer to Courts and Gardens as the cozy community with a giant heart,” said Carol Carl, executive director, Alden Courts and Gardens of Des Plaines. “We have genuine people and staff here who provide our residents with the best care possible. I’m so proud of the staff and everyone on my team; it’s because of their hard work and dedication to ensuring our residents have the best experience possible that we have zero tags.”

Alden Courts of Des Plaines is a secure memory care neighborhood for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia. Alden Gardens is an assisted living community designed to provide residents with the convenience of a carefree and flexible lifestyle. In addition to 24/7 nursing care, Alden Courts and Gardens is known for its cozy environment surrounded by greenery, flower beds and natural wildlife with homelike amenities and accommodations, like fine dining reminiscent of a five-star restaurant and daily activities curated to meet the needs and interests of their residents.

The assisted living and memory care community underwent a rigorous survey inspection, which consisted of extensive interviews with nursing staff and other employees as well as residents and their families, and a review of medical records, programs and services, and tours of the facility. IDPH surveys are unannounced, making the facility’s achievement even more impressive.
