DuPage forest preserve board OKs lobbyist contract
DuPage County forest preserve commissioners have authorized a $60,000, one-year contract to retain the district’s longtime state lobbyist.
The district will continue to pay Chicago-based Government Navigation Group in $5,000 monthly installments. The firm, formerly PAR Solutions, has been representing forest preserve interests in Springfield since October 2004.
The firm’s existing $60,000-a-year contract with the district was due to expire at the end of this month. There was no discussion before Tuesday’s vote approving the new contract, which takes effect March 1.
