Grocery store, restaurant planned for former Fresh Market site in Lincolnshire

The Lincolnshire village board will conduct a public hearing at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 regarding proposed changes to allow sit-down restaurants, banquet venues and other suitable commercial uses which currently are prohibited. Krupa Nidham LLC, which owns the long vacant former Fresh Market property at the northeast corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Half Day Road, has submitted plans for a grocery store, a sit-down restaurant/sports bar and a banquet venue. Besides the privately-owned former Fresh Market and Culver’s properties, the village owns three adjacent parcels available for sale and development. The meeting will be held at village hall, 1 Olde Half Day Road and also will be livestreamed on Facebook. A video will be posted to the village website.
