Winter’s tail: Group helps Huskies in need of homes

Adopt-A-Husky was among the organizations trying to match the canines with interested families during Winterfest at the Bartlett Nature Center Saturday.

The organization helps place the Huskies in new homes.

Though striking in appearance, friendly and playful, high-energy Huskies sometimes overwhelm their previous owners, said volunteer Chantale Shea.

“They're a working breed, so they need a job to do,” Shea said. “These aren't dogs who will just lay around your house with you.”
