A worthy second in command
So this election no one is touting the perfect presidential candidate. But, at least, we know who functions as Biden’s second in command. And that person’s qualifications should comfort us. Even if we voters aren’t rapturous over her. Kamala Harris is articulate, experienced and has honorably represented the United States worldwide.
The vice president, daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants, earned degrees from Howard University and then law school. Harris worked in the California criminal justice system, then was elected as California’s attorney general. She can’t be labeled as a left-wing politician since many of her decisions were cause for controversy and criticisms. Election to the U.S. Senate capped her career before becoming second in command,
The choice for chief executive officer should include which presidency would provide a second in command who wouldn’t stay silent burning with humiliation after a scouring by the boss, or someone who would, if in disagreement with a decision, feel free to speak her mind and fight for what she thinks is right for her county’s citizens. And we have a candidate who is on the ballot. All is not lost.
