Metro West hosts legislators for annual event

The Metro West Council of Government hosted its 2024 Legislative Breakfast, on Friday, Feb. 9, at Eagle Brook Country Club in Geneva.

Representatives from over 20 municipalities and 120 attendees gathered for conversation with local legislators.

Metro West board president and Sleepy Hollow Village President Stephan Pickett states, “This event brings our local and state leaders together to discuss regional issues. It is imperative that we work together on legislation and priorities that benefit local government and those who live and work in our communities.”

State senators in attendance included: Andrew Chesney (District 45), Don DeWitte (District 33), Linda Holmes (District 42), Dave Syverson (District 35), and Karina Villa (District 25). State representatives in attendance included: Jed Davis (District 75), Matt Hanson (District 83), Jeff Keicher (District 70), Stephanie Kifowit (District 84) Suzanne Ness (District 66), and Dan Ugaste (District 65).

Topics of discussion included Metro West’s 2024 Legislative Priorities. Additionally, legislators spoke on upcoming topics in the 103rd General Assembly session.

Metro West once again thanks these dedicated legislators for their continued work on behalf of the citizens of Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties.
