The Hampshire Area Chamber’s “Heart of Hampshire Ice Sculpture & Cocoa Crawl” will be noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, on Washington and State streets.

Register via hampshirechamber.org and pay online to receive a commemorative mug and free cocoa from participating downtown businesses, a map of the locations, goody bag filled with swag, and a s'mores kit to roast downtown.

Only those who register will receive a mug, goody bags, s'mores and free cocoa. Contact the chamber to pay for registration by cash or check (847) 683-1122.

Pickup location for the mugs will be at Snap Fitness on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 15-16. Pre-purchased mugs will be available for pickup at the Guardian Angel Basset Rescue during the event as well.

Free cocoa & s'mores are only available to participants who register in advance; however, all are welcome to attend the event, view the many ice sculptures, dine and shop at local businesses. Kids can visit the Ella Johnson Memorial Public Library for a coloring page and a chance to play “Freeze Dance.” Stop in at the Hampshire Park District's new office downtown for cocoa and to participate in the coloring contest.

The live ice sculpture demonstration will be 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the corner of Washington and State streets. Bring the family to watch as a block of ice is transformed into an object of beauty right before your eyes! Snap photos of your favorite ice sculptures while celebrating with some midwinter fun!
