On March 5 in River Grove: ‘Estate Planning Explained’
“Failing to plan is planning to fail.”
Sometimes attributed to Benjamin Franklin, sometimes to others, the root of the pithy saying isn’t nearly as important as whether you heed its wisdom.
With “Estate Planning Explained,” Jigar Doshi of Bentron Financial Group will lead a free one-hour presentation at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at River Grove Public Library, 8638 W. Grand Ave.
To fill this vital gap in end-of-life preparation and register, visit rivergrovelibrary.libcal.com/event/10963233. Anyone with questions can also call the library at (708) 453-4484.
In the session, Doshi will cover the estate planning process from beginning to end, including the need to plan, the most common planning techniques and the documents involved. The class will also explain the difference between a will and a trust while providing attendees an understanding of probate, wills, power of attorney for health care, power of attorney for financial matters, living trusts, and guardianship appointments.
By the end of the session, attendees will have gained a thorough understanding of the steps they need to take to protect their spouse and heirs.
A Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC), Doshi has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Mumbai-India, and a master’s degree in financial markets from the Stuart School of Business-IIT Chicago.
Doshi’s service includes investment advising, estate planning, risk management and watching out for clients’ overall financial well-being. He and his wife, Kosha, have two children and are active members of the Vernon Hills Indian Association.
