Chili Cook Off launches Palatine Restaurant Week Sunday

The second annual Great Chili Cook Off of Palatine set for 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18 at Tap House Grill, 56 W. Wilson St. in Palatine.

The event is scheduled to feature entries from 11 local restaurants competing to see which makes the best chili in town, based on votes from attendees and a panel of Palatine celebrities.

This event is the kickoff to Palatine Restaurant week, which runs from Feb. 18-24, with restaurant specials, deals and more. During Palatine Restaurant Week, visit restaurants and tag #palatinerestaurantweek on social media to win a local prize basket.

Tickets for the cook off are $30 for adults. $10 for children, and include chili tastings, voting eligibility and an entry to win a local restaurant gift basket. A goody bag filled with local deals and treats for ticket holders also will be included while supplies last.
