Third-party option needed for president
In his opinion letter on Sunday, James Robinson suggests we demand better presidential candidates. I agree wholeheartedly. The second paragraph of his letter paints an excellent, descriptive picture of the proposed Republican presidential candidate. I’m sure there are more readers who could add some very colorful adjectives to describe Mr. Trump.
The third paragraph gives me a problem though. President Biden, I feel, is a decent man who has served this country for many years. He has made mistakes of course, but what politician has not. Hopefully he has not been involved in the antics of his son. The taking of classified documents is hard to explain, but Mr. Biden seems to have given an explanation that we can be comfortable with. Age and mental acuity are his handicaps. He also has excess baggage with his vice presidential choice. If he were to be re-elected and then something happened to put him on disability she would be in the driver’s seat. Then this country would really have a problem.
It is time for a third party or an independent candidate to get their names on a ballot. My suggestions, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. Both strong patriotic citizens who could give some stability to this country in turmoil.
Tell me where the line starts for another choice then the two being supported. I want my vote to help bring forward a person who can guide the United States through these troubled times.
