Hoffman Estates Fire Dept. offering CPR/AED class Feb. 12

The Hoffman Estates Fire Department is offering a Heartsaver CPR/AED course from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, at Fire Station 24, 5775 Beacon Pointe Drive.

The course is intended for those with little to no medical training who want to learn CPR and AED use.

Participants will learn when to phone 9-1-1, how to administer CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to provide relief from choking.

The cost of the course is $50 per person. Preregistration is required; class sizes are limited.
