Naperville author to be featured at the ‘Twice in a Lifetime’ Eclipse Festival in April

When author Liz Bockelman attended Chester, Illinois’ first “Twice in a Lifetime” eclipse festival in 2017, her friend and lifetime Chester resident Brenda Owen suggested that the author write one of her children’s books about eclipses in time for Chester’s second eclipse festival in 2024.

2024 is here, and “Rana Eclipso Rising” is that book — which of course is set in Chester, Illinois, home to two total solar eclipses in just seven years.

Bockelman and her book “Rana Eclipso Rising — A Total Eclipse of the Sun Story” will be featured for two book signings at the 2024 “Twice in a Lifetime” eclipse festival at Chester, Illinois.

The first will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 6; the second will be Sunday, April 7 at 5 p.m.

Chester’s festival runs from Friday, April 5 through eclipse day — Monday, April 8.
