Valentine's Maker's Market comes to Brother Chimp Brewing Feb. 10
The Valentine's Makers Market, curated by the Streetz Artz Alliance, will showcase 16 local artists and makers, offering a diverse range of handmade items and artwork, on Saturday, Feb. 10.
This free, all-ages event will be noon to 4 p.m. at Brother Chimp Brewing, 1059 W. Orchard Road in North Aurora. No tickets are required.
Attendees can expect an array of original and one-of-a-kind pieces perfect for any individual's partner. This market is the first from the Streetz Artz Alliance in 2024, featuring over half of the artisans who are new to this venue.
The venue, Brother Chimp Brewing, will have a selection of a dozen fresh beers, guest ciders, seltzers, wine, and beer alternatives. For those who aren't beer enthusiasts, craft bourbons and cocktails such as the Espresso Martini or Bloody Mary will be available.
One of the highlights of the event is the specialty menu provided by Kitchen Ten Aurora, on-site from noon to 3 p.m.
“A Delicious Small Bites Menu” includes items like cheesy chicken Rach FB pieces, fig and goat cheese tartlets, buffalo shrimp skewers, “Spin Art Tartlets,” and chocolate moose tartlets.
Kelley Trafton, a local patron and Streetz Artz Alliance member, expressed her excitement about the event, saying, “Love shopping these markets for unique gifts for my loved ones! Gifting feels so much more special picking something handmade specifically for them than just something found at a big box store.”
Timothy Loatman, another patron and Streetz Artz Alliance member, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “I love going to these shows! It's always such a great vibe, and the artists are just good people! I always can count on great conversations, great art, and great fun! Bonus: this will be my first chance to get KP's Candy Factory treats for 2024!”
Jessica Coy, taproom manager for Brother Chimp Brewing, added, “Brother Chimp Brewing is excited about our Valentine's Maker's Market! Being able to host so many uniquely talented artists and makers!”
The brewery also will be showcasing new artwork from two local artists, Rebecca MacLachlan and Jim Jenkins. The brewery has features artists on the walls of their venue that get updates every few months.
With the Super Bowl being the next day after this market, this will be a perfect opportunity to sip and shop before being stuck prepping for the house parties.
This family-friendly event encourages attendees to RSVP on the Facebook event page and invites everyone to join for an afternoon of shopping, craft beer, and good times. Weather permitting, there will be seating available on the back patio.
