Next Hilltop Community Supper set for Feb. 13

First Congregational Church of Dundee hosts Hilltop Community Suppers, an outreach effort that offers a free meal on the second Tuesday of the month. The suppers are open to any community member who would enjoy a warm, cooked dinner.

The next free supper will be a “drive-through” and “to-go” dinner offered on Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 5 to 6:30 p.m., or until meals last, via the parking lot driveway of the church, 900 S. Eighth St. in West Dundee. There will be no dining in the church building.

The February menu will feature ham, scalloped potatoes, a vegetable, applesauce, a Texas Roadhouse roll and butter, and a cranberry cookie.

The Texas Roadhouse, 835 Cog Circle in Crystal Lake, has once again donated their rolls with cinnamon butter for the supper. If you plan to dine at the restaurant, thank them for their generosity to Hilltop Community Suppers.

The dinner will be run by Hilltop Community Suppers volunteers who will assemble and distribute the meal and take all precautions to ensure a safe experience for all participants and guests.

Dinners are offered at no cost, but freewill donations are gladly accepted to help sustain the meals and any additional contributions are accepted at any time. Come join this “drive-through” gathering of community members.

“The Church on the Hill” is located at Route 31 and Angle Tarn. For details, call the church at (847) 426-2161 ext. 202 or visit www.fccdundee.com.
