Regional nonprofit opens center in Buffalo Grove

Regional nonprofit GiveNKind has a new resource redistribution center at 1000 Asbury Drive, Suite 8, in Buffalo Grove.
The agency, which previously operated at 355 Hastings Drive in Buffalo Grove, works with businesses to sustainably manage their excess new goods by donating them rather than disposing of or liquidating them.
“The new GiveNKind Center is a big step for us as it is our first lease of our own, and it provides 92% more space for our operations,” said Emily Petway, executive director at GiveNKind.
“We fulfilled close to 2,200 orders for our nonprofit partners and accepted donations from 160 companies, including Walgreens and Dick’s Sporting Goods,” Petway said.
