Elgin Theatre Company to present ‘Filumena: A Marriage Italian Style’

The Elgin Theatre Company continues its 2023-24 season with the comedy “Filumena: A Marriage Italian Style.” The play was written by Eduardo De Filippo, translated by Maria Tucci.

Throw off the winter blues by coming to this wonderfully written and skillfully directed script filled with vintage and new actors who will keep you on the edge of your seat reeling in laughter.

The plot is quite simple. Filumena and Domenico have had an ongoing relationship for 25 years when Domenico suddenly gets an episode of midlife crisis.

Filumena is no slouch and has decided to develop a plan to counteract this whole situation and continue her life with Domenico. The outrageous happenings that take place as she is unraveling her work of art will keep you in stitches for the rest of the performance.
