Author discusses how football came to the Midwest

Local author Larry LaTourette will discuss and sign his book Gus Hornsby’s Gamble from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Villa District Library, 140 N. Munn Road, Lindenhurst. The book chronicles the birth of American football in the Midwest, and the connections between Hornsby's football team and the "first wave" American feminist movement of the 19th century.
